Move over HGTV!!

Our little house has come a long way since we graced it with our presence (and the 10 renters moved out).  We've been busy these past few months, but it's starting to pay off.   Here's a little look down memory lane.

We had some pretty (correction:  really nasty) base boards!

After 2 full Saturdays of sawing, nail gunning, cocking and painting, we have a new found appreciation for base boards!
As we were finishing up one project last weekend, we thought why not kill ourselves over and throw in one more project that night, so we put new flooring in the the bathroom!  Ta-da!

I guess all that HGTV watching has finally paid off!   As of now the home updates are on hold for awhile, or at least until our bank account recovers!

Too Cute for TuTus

Hailey's new BFF Bailey have had all kinds of fun lately.  Last week they disappeared upstairs at Baileys house and came down strutting their stuff in Tutu's.  The best part about this situation is that I know for a fact that Hailey could not have dressed herself, which means Bailey got Hailey all ready for their dancing debut!

Hailey was so proud of herself and her new look!

Destin 2010

We are back from not only our 3ed annual Destin Family Reunion, but also our Blogging hiatus!   We had a great trip with NO oil!  Good and bad news, the oil arrived at the Destin shores the day we were flying home!

All in all it was a fantastic trip!  I wish the beaches in CA could be as beautiful as these!

The Strawberry Fields

Last month (or maybe 2 months ago) Hailey got to meet up with some of her best buds from HB and pick strawberries.  Stay tuned because we are going on Friday and maybe this time I'll be better at posting pictures sooner!

After a few odd/ unknown commenters I thought it was time to make our blog for VIP only!

Under all those weeds!

Under a sea of 2ft weeds, we were able to find a back yard last week!
Thanks to the foreclosure across the street (and a few guys who were more then willing to share for a nominal fee) we were the happy recipients of left over sod!

Hailey is loving the soft grass almost as much as she love the dirt, to play in.
Ammons next project is to lay down cement. If anyone has any experience with this we are taking volunteers!

Easter Fun!

For those of you who think 16Month olds are too young to enjoy Easter . . . I DISAGREE!

Hailey had a blast, and not because she was fed candy all day (it was a sugar free holiday). Not only did she get a Bunny sippy with a straw, but she also got her favorite, a balloon!
After naps it was time to hit the park (since our backyard is a 2 foot mess of weeds).
Once Hailey realized there were gold fishies in the eggs, she was in it to win it!

All in all (minus the 4 earth quakes) it was a great Easter Sunday!

Just catching up!

The last few weeks have been hectic/awesome!
Not only did Hailey get a new house, but also her own set up wheels! (Thanks to our friends Polly and John)

Grandma Sandy even came out to help with the big move and get some much needed Hailey time! We just wish she could have played longer! But I guess we need to share her with Grandpa Tom!

We are pretty much moved in and really enjoying our new house. Hailey has had no issue adjusting into her new "playground". Going from 800 sq/ft to 2800 is not a tough adjustment! We've even discovered on a clear day we have quit the ocean view! Don't laugh, but if you squint ever so closely you will catch a glimpse of ocean btwn the 2 rooftops!
