Daddy Come Home!

On Fathers Day Ammon had to fly out to Dallas for work. As he was was packing this is what I came across . . .

It's amazing how Hailey has found her own way to communicate! We have a child prodagy on our hands!

Good news for Hailey and I, the weather was great and we found all kinds of ways to pass the time away while Daddy was gone!

I have been sick all week, while trying to teach "Miss you know who" how to sleep. It's been a rough one, but this makes it all worth it!

Better Late then Never!

As a new mom, your first child might have the unfortunate position as the ginny pig. Mistakes will be made, but good news is they are too young to ever remember. After hitting rock bottom from sleep deprivation this weekend, I gave in and pulled out all my trusty baby books and felt it was time for some MAJOR sleep training! After the first page, I realized this is something I should have started at week 6 not 6 months later, but better late then never Right! We are on day 2 and I have to admit I do see some progress on this whole "self-soothing" idea. She just went down for her nap (awake) and there was not one tear! As you can see Hailey finds great comfort in her puppy during this traumatic transition.

I love my family!!!

We just got back from our second Glade family reunion in Destin Florida and Hailey REALLY misses all the attention she got for the week! Although the weather report said thunderstorms 100% of the time, we managed to have clear blue skys 6 out of 7 days!!! According to Grandpa Tom, he had a chat with the rain our first day there and told it to get lost!! Nice work Dad!

Playing Catch-Up

I'd like to say that this week has been busy and there has been no time to update the blog, but that would be a lie. Now that I am officially unemployed life has slowed down a little bit. Here's a few highlights from the week!

Hailey had her first play date with her older friend Reese. It was so fun playing with toys, giving hugs and watching movies!

This week Hailey went swimming for the first time! It was mind-blowing! (my favorite part was putting her "baby-kinny" on! Thanks miss Abby Grace for sharing your swim suite!



Hailey has officially retired the swing and has moved on to bigger and better things!
