PINK IS THE NEW BLUE

For those of you who might not have heard . . . WE'RE HAVING A GIRL!! Ammon and I are loving the fact we can refer to "Her" instead of "it"! We are very excited, but question if "Baby Girl Sullivans" Aunty Suzy is even more excited then we are! Here's what we received in the mail from Aunty Suzy. (keep in mind many of these pieces were purchased hours before she new it was a girl)!
And to Aunty Suzy, On behalf of "Baby Girl Sullivan" I'd like to thank you for making sure this little one is the best dressed on the block!

The Glade Family Extravaganza!

Last week we had our First Annual "Glade Family Extravaganza" and it was a BLAST! We all (minus Rob and Mel) rented a beach house in Miramar Beach Florida. We spent the week soaking up the sun at the beach and pool, visiting with the fam (which we dont ever get to do, since we all live so sinkin far away from each other) shopping, playing with my sisters kids (who are the cutest things), and for the boys Lots of golf! All I can say is . . . I CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT YEAR!

We're Back and With Big News

So I know its been over a month since we last updated our blog, but that's because the only news we had was a secret until Now!!! If you haven't guessed it . . . WE'RE HAVING A BABY! It has been a trial keeping such excited news under the wraps. But the wait if finally over! I just finished my first trimester and feel great. Don't get me wrong, I'm exhausted and haven't been able to tolerate the sight of meat but no morning sickness, so I think I've gotten off pretty easy so far! The official due date is Nov 17th! So come Thanksgiving we will have much to be Thankful for! Here's one of Baby's first photos. This was taken at about 10 weeks. As for the haircut inspiration last month, Thanks to my friend Lauren who just had a baby, I agreed chopping my hair that short with the possibility of my face getting allot fatter might be a deadly combination. So I'm putting it on hold for now. I think I'll have enough appearance changes to keep me entertained.

The New Due!

For those of you who have known me for more then 5 years, I have this odd habit of constantly wanting to re- invent the "bob"! I am a short haired person and have had every hair cut under the sun between my shoulders and ears. Sometimes I get board of the same old thing. So here is my next idea! I'm taking votes!

Fine! I'll give into the Tag!

So I am secretly aware that I have been tagged a dozen + times and have pretended I never read the invitation. Don't ask me why I do the things I do, because there is no logic to it! It is kind of like me and the post office . . . I am not afraid of the post office or think it difficult to find time to go, I just for some reason avoid going and which usually means all Birthday gifts are at least a week late! In fact right now I have 2 items that need to sent off (one of which is a late Christmas gift, oops)! Don't ask me why this time I decided to accept the challenge. For those of you who have tagged me in the past, please dont take it personally, for this tag is dedicated to you!

2peat

So this is my first official post to the blog. But I wanted to give a shout out to my wife, she is currently #2 on her company's presidents club competition. Yep you guessed it, this may be two years in a row that we are going. So I thought I give a couple of shout outs to those that made this happen (granted there is a small chance she might not win but its pretty much in the bag). First, Tom & Sandy - communications is in her blood, second, me for leaving town so much, third, enterprise for making her completely miserable that she looked for a new industry, fourth, Car MAx DC, fifth a great manager - Welcome to the club Luke (who may I add is a phenom with like half of his team in the president club mix).
Becky, you are a star! I love you and it appears that so many others do too. Congrats! (for me too : ) yeah hawaii

My Husband Is a nicer person then I am!!

So everyone once in awhile (ok quit often) Ammon will do something that will remind me how much nicer of a person he is then I am! This one made me laugh. So on Saturday he went to get his haircut. As he was waiting at the salon he struck up conversation with an elderly women. During the conversation Ammon learned that the women brought her granddaughter in for her first "professional" hair cut to celebrate her 13th birthday. Within minutes Ammon headed next door purchased a birthday card and some fancy hair products and gave them to the birthday girl as she was leaving the salon and wished her a happy birthday. Who thinks of this stuff? Ammon does!
I attatched the following picture to a number of reasons . . .
1. I for some odd reason feel that every entry should have a photo
2. While I'm on a roll of embarrassing my husband why not include one of his finest High School shots!
3. To see how long it takes him to notice and make me take it off our blog!

Playing House!

We are officially "playing house"! We just moved into a real house with no shared walls, our own garage, a washer and a dryer that doesn't require coins in order to operate, and lets not forget, a real back yard (with a fence and everything)! For those of you who don't live in California or New York you wont understand our new found excitement, because you actually own a home thats probably twice this size (at least), but for us this is huge!! Good news too . . . We are close to the beach!

Don't Let this happen to you!

So Monday morning California got more rain, but this time it was in our apartment. It has been speculated, that our upstairs neighbor "broke" his toilet by leaning back and cracking the tank (he's a big guy who hopefully doesn't blog). As the day progressed and the water spread both upstairs and down, things got worse. At about 11pm our AC unit that once hung 9 feet off the ground fell to its death (inside our apt) R.I.P. This is what we get to come home to ever night. There is a silver lining to all of this . . . Due to the unfortunate events we are moving next Saturday to a darling house in Huntington Beach and we have NO upstairs neighbors!!

REUNITED!

I thought this day would never come!
3 months ago Ammon received a disturbing phone call informing him that we would be spending the next 3 months working out of the South Dakota office for one of his clients! Much to my dismay we have been apart of most of that time! As of Last night our separation is over! We have been reunited, and Ammon has moved back in! Although there might be a few bumps in the road, such as not having the whole bed to myself, sharing the covers and actually having to cook again, all in all I'M QUIT PLEASED TO HAVE HIM BACK!
Welcome Home Ammon Sullivan, Welcome Home!
